In a private ceremony, Ananya Panday's cousin Alanna Panday got engaged to her boyfriend Ivor McCray in a white-themed ceremony. The Indian-style engagement ceremony was also attended by actors Lara Dutta and Bipasha Basu, as seen from the pictures shared on social media by Alanna's mother Deanne Panday. Deanne wrote, “And she said yes …. 💍🤗😍🧿❤️ #shesaidyes #officialengagement #alannaivor #engaged #godblessyou #family.” Taking to her Instagram handle, Alanna shared pictures from the ceremony and wrote, "So happy we got to have a small Indian Engagement Ceremony with our close friends and family before we head back to LA today! @ivor." Bride-to-be Alanna looked resplendent in a grey gown while Ivor opted for a traditional white sherwani. In another post on her Instagram Story, Alanna shared that they would not be having the wedding "for another year and a half" and that they have not thought of a date yet. Though she revealed that there would be two weddings for sure to "embrace both our cultures". Ivor had proposed to Alanna in the Maldives earlier this month. Sharing the engagement pictures, Alanna wrote, "2 years ago today, I met this amazing human at a Halloween party. He made me laugh so much that night my jaw hurt. Everything else seems pretty blurry but all I can remember was how happy he made me. We moved in together 3 months into knowing each other (I know, too soon but I literally couldn’t stay away from him for more than a day). I think it was because he made a foreign country feel like home. I never felt homesick when I was around him. Thank you for cooking me Indian food when I missed home, thank you for making me laugh when I felt low, thank you for showing me how to love unconditionally. You are my perfect other half and I love you more and more every day @ivor."
